AFS

In 2009/2010 I spent a year abroad in China.
Being a teenager is never easy, neither it is if you are 10 thousand miles away from home.
But somehow I managed to survive. In end end I was stronger, I was more self-confident, I was ready to rock the world. Thanks to the hard times I've been through and all those problems that a normal teenager doesn't deal with, I grew up with a wider vision of the world, aware of the dozens of different cultures and languages spread everywhere. Al worth to be known, all worth to be understood and appreciated.
Without China, I wouldn't be studying International Relations, I wouldn't be in Leeds, I probably wouldn't be a university student either. I'd be a completely different person.
So thanks China, If I am what I am is because of you.

For who knows and is able to read italian, I wrote a blog about my experience and about China seen from the inside. As an AFSer I didn't just lived there, I lived in a chinese family and I was part of it. I studied in a chinese high school and I hanged out with chinese mates. I truly had been in China for one year.
For those who cannot read italian, there's a google translation option on the left!
